    Marketing Strategy for Gaspard

    A manufacturer and supplier of fine garments and regalia since 1909. Gaspard products include academic regalia, graduation gowns and accessories, legal and justice attire, church vestments and choral robes.

    Gaspard came to ViewSource Media initially for some guidance in cleaning up their existing corporate logo identity. ViewSource Media slightly altered their existing logo to create a better sense of legibility yet still keep the foundation, structure and main fundamentals of the brand intact. ViewSource Media created a cleaner visual and also developed a brand specifications package complete with a set of logo files for various marketing platforms. Take a look at the sample image to the right for a before and after view.   Gaspard also requested a marketing strategy hybrid between a traditional direct mail campaign and an email marketing send out. ViewSource Media developed the creative for both the graphical visuals and the written material spanning across both media platforms. With a focus on a clean and clear message ViewSource Media developed an effective look and feel targeting Gaspard's immediate audience.     Both the direct mail and email marketing strategy targeted a direct URL with an online response form providing immediate statistical reporting and tracking capabilities. ViewSource Media is excited to be apart of Gaspard's marketing efforts  and hopes to continue a working relationship into the future.

    Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba

    MDAM is a non-profit organization originally founded by Gwen Finnen in 1983 as the Society for Depression & Manic Depression of Manitoba. Since then they have operated throughout the province of Manitoba supporting those affected by mood disorders and to their friends, families and caregivers.

    ViewSource Media was contacted to provide creative design and print production services. ViewSource Media cleaned up the MDAM's existing logo presence setting up a brand specification standards package and finalizing a set of logo identity files for various marketing platforms. Upon completion of the logo clean-up exercise ViewSource Media designed a banner stand graphic supplying MDAM with the creative design of the banner graphic, the printing of the banner itself and also supplying MDAM with a high quality banner stand hardware package complete with installation.

    St. Emile School strives to provide a rich educational and multi-cultural environment that fosters, spiritual, academic, social and emotional growth of students in Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8.

    ViewSource Media developed a new website for St. Emile School. It included a completely new creative look and feel, all functionality / programming requirements of the website. ViewSource Media also integrated a content management system for staff members to make regular updates to all content items and main images throughout each section of the re-developed interface. ViewSource Media was also responsible for developing all of the flash animation graphics associated with the home page highlighting the key features of the school and also showcasing some high quality imagery of typical classroom settings.     MEBP provides pension, insurance and disability income services to employees of Manitoba municipal and quasi-municipal organizations.

    ViewSource Media developed a new website presence for MEBP. The website development project consisted of the creative design, flash animation, all functionality and programming and a customized content management system. ViewSource Media also developed secure online access to forms that can be filled out and submitted by the end user that are managed securely by MEBP through the content management system. MEBP has the ability to add / edit or delete all content related to the site along with secure management of the online form application.

    Google Analytics

    VSM is excited to announce that we are switching our website statistic packages over to Google Analytics. Google Analytics offers a comprehensive package outlining all sorts of interesting stats for our client’s websites. Keep in mind you will need to be hosting with us in order to experience these reporting features. We have recently added the majority of our website hosting clients to Google Analytics and as of December 1, 2008 will have up-to-date statistics for each website hosting plan.

    VSM will still have all the reporting features and statistics from previous months on hand for customers but will no longer be sending out monthly stat reports. With the new Google Analytics system in place we can provide our clients access to the reporting interface online via username and password or generate statistical reports in pdf form upon request.

    We are excited to make the switchover to Google Analytics and look forward to providing our clients with a better way to track statistical information pertaining to their own websites and marketing needs. Contact us for further information.

    VSM has recently completed a re-branding process for Castle Mortgage Group. Castle Mortgage Group is a mortgage specialist who enjoys a close business association with 'TMG The Mortgage Group Canada Inc.' - one of our country's largest and most advanced independent mortgage brokerage firms. This association provides them with access to the best mortgage products available to meet individual needs of their clients.

    VSM has completed the logo identity portion of the project and are now working on applying this new look and feel to various aspects of their marketing materials. These includes stationery items, homebuyer booklets, a website and window graphics. The end goal is to create a consistent and professional look for this growing company.

    Branding Package for Waverley West

    ViewSource Media is extremely excited to announce the branding package for the new Waverley West community. Working closely with the Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation, VSM has created the new logo identity for Bridgwater Forest.

    Bridgwater Forest is the first phase of the new Waverley West community located at Waverley and Bishop Grandin. This one-of-a-kind community is the most unique neighbourhood in all of Manitoba.     ViewSource Media is excited to announce the development of an online document management application. This document management application will allow multiple users to open, save, upload and organize various files throughout any standard web browser. This tool is geared towards all types of businesses and corporations.

    The application is still in a development stage but will offer tons of features and a clean and easy-to-use interface. There will be a completely separate website showcasing all of the details in the coming months. Stay tuned as this application will be a cut above the rest.     ViewSource Media has been working with Vita Health Food Stores to complete the signage requirements for their new store in Tuxedo. It is set to open at the end of the month in Tuxedo Shopping Centre. VSM has developed the window graphics and all of the inside store signage.   • New Website Launch

    ViewSource Media has launched a new website as of May 2008. The goal in re-developing the website was to follow today's web standards by creating a clean and user-friendly interface that focuses on utilizing white space and having straight forward navigation.

    VSM wanted to create an interface that was easy to move around in, provide clients with more information on what services are provided and also develop customized case studies featuring some of the projects that we have been working on.

    VSM has added some more features to the new site as well. There is now an rss feed directly linked to the news section of the site providing up-to-date notification of any recent changes within the organization. VSM has also added a client login which is used for customers logging into customized extranet websites that are built and maintained by the VSM team.

    These extranet sites provide an excellent resource for customers wishing to have an online location for all their marketing and branding materials. Clients will find their logos and branding information ready to download and any specific content and imagery related to each project developed by the VSM team. This provides a perfect online library that previews all of the marketing materials related to the client.

  • Participation in Taste of The Nation

    The 15th Annual Taste of the Nation fundraising event took place on Monday, April 14th 2008 and ViewSource Media was proud to be a part of the event. ViewSource was the official design sponsor of the event, which, along with the Chef's Dinner fundraiser, raised over $125,000 to help battle childhood poverty and malnutrition here in Manitoba.

    The two events, run by Share Our Strength Winnipeg, provide an opportunity for Winnipeger's to sample a wide variety of food and beverage items all graciously donated by Manitoba's finest restaurants. All proceeds from both events go towards reducing food poverty here in the province.

    The Volunteer Manitoba Awards Dinner is taking place on April 30th, 2008 and VSM is proud to once again provide the event with full graphic design and printed marketing materials. The Volunteer Awards are celebrating their 25th year of outstanding Manitobans in the volunteer sector, and VSM wishes to extend our congratulations to everyone at Volunteer Manitoba, as well as all award nominees!

    VSM is also excited to announce our involvement for the first time in Share Our Strength's (SOS) 15th Annual Taste of the Nation and Chef's Dinner fundraising events. VSM is excited to participate in these two events as the official Design Sponsor, and will be providing all graphic design and print coordination.

    Share Our Strength is an international organization devoted to eliminating hunger, both domestically and internationally. The two events organized in Winnipeg have a 100% flow-through of all fund raised, and go to supporting four very worthy community organizations that provide hunger relief and nutrition-education to individuals in need.

    VSM is excited to announce the live launch of the newly developed Novelty Printers website. This new website features a custom-developed website interface designed to showcase the full Novelty line of printed promotional materials, and incorporates a combination of static and flash-based design elements.

    The website is also built on a customized content management system, designed to allow Novelty to maintain and update website content within a user-friendly system.

    The project is slated to move on a second phase development in the near future, as VSM will be incorporating an online ordering and payment processing system, in order to allow Novelty clientele to process and complete their product orders online in one simple process.

  • Mortgage Intelligence

    VSM continues to create a consistent and unique branding solution for Winnipeg-based mortgage brokerage Mortgage Intelligence. VSM has designed, printed and supplied hardware plus graphics for two banner stands. VSM has also developed and implemented a direct mail campaign focusing on supporting the Mortgage Intelligence marketing strategy. Both pieces utilize consistent imagery, colour schemes and general creative to help build the Mortgage Intelligence brand.

    Within the next few months VSM will be developing a customized CRM (customer relationship management) system for Mortgage Intelligence to set them apart from their competition.

  • CanWest CanSpell Spellers' Lounge

    February 1st, 2008

    VSM has updated the CanWest Global CanSpell website in advance of the 2008 CanSpell Spelling Bee. Both new games combine learning activities within a fun and friendly gaming experience, designed to appeal to the target audience of school-age CanSpell contestants.

    The two new games added were both heavily customized, for both content and visual elements, by the VSM flash development team. The Book Stack Attack is a modified version of the classic Hangman, in which players have to deduce the correct word before getting buried with an insurmountable stack of reading materials!

    The Spellers' Lounge website now has over six games to try and is continuing on with further development throughout the year. Check out the site often for new games and a brand new interface scheduled for the Fall.

  • Toba Sportswear Product Catalogue

    This year marked a departure from design concepts of past years, as VSM and Toba embarked on a re-design of the annual Toba Sportswear catalogue. The new catalogue design features an increase in page size as well as overall page count. In addition, the design concept was updated in order to place an increased emphasis on the high-quality and stylish Toba line of products.

  • Vine Lounge Branding Package

    ViewSource Media has just completed the development of a branding project for The Vine Lounge, a new upscale/contemporary lounge located in Grapes restaurant.

    The new identity has been developed in order to create a fresh and edgy feel for the lounge, in order to appeal to the target demographic of young professionals. The combination of elements in the design, which includes a modern typographic element set-off by an illustrated and edgy logo mark, captures the dark edge to this new establishment.

    ViewSource Media is currently working with The Vine on development of signage, as well as a business stationery package. Plans are also underway for a website presence in the near future.

    This new business entity, emerging from the amalgamation of Grant Page Financial with another financial management company, offers a full variety of financial management services, and the new brand identity effectively captures and communicates the fresh, energetic, and professional nature of their approach to the business.

    Combining a vibrant colour palette with a modern and contemporary logo mark, the new identity should help to create a name for this new business.   • Harvest Moon CRM Application

    ViewSource recently launched newly developed website application for Harvest Moon Insurance Ltd, a Winnipeg-based full-service insurance broker.

    This new system, custom-designed and developed for Harvest Moon, features a number of lead-generating web pages, each focused on a different aspect of Harvest Moon's portfolio of insurance services.

    Input from these lead-generating sites is then filtered through a Customer Relationship Management application, allowing Harvest Moon to track all incoming data, flag each lead for response, and monitor performance, all within a user-friendly and intuitive web-based system.

    ViewSource is excited to announce the launch of the newly re-developed Manitoba WorkinfoNET website.

    The new WorkinfoNET website offers employment resource providers, and job seekers, across the province of Manitoba with a robust and valuable tool for gathering and disseminating employment information and opportunities.

    With a wide variety of tools, including the ability to search for upcoming training opportunities and job fairs, post and view current job opportunities, and access over 1500 employment Provincial and Canada-wide employment resource websites, the new WorkinfoNET website is a vital employment hub here in Manitoba.

    The entire site has been built on a robust and flexible platform, allowing WorkinfoNET employees to maintain and update website content in order to keep the information on the site fresh and relevant.

    In addition to the central WorkinfoNET website, ViewSource has developed Youth and French portals, each of which filters content and resources specifically targeted to the Manitoba youth and French communities. Work is currently underway on an Aboriginal portal, with an expected completion date of late September, 2007.

    VSM Taxi Hits The Streets!

    The latest element of the ViewSource Media marketing effort has hit the streets of Winnipeg - and has created a buzz! ViewSource is proud to be the very first company in Winnipeg to have a full taxicab graphic vehicle wrap - with on-the-road exposure of over 70 hours per week, it is an exciting way to create brand name awareness and put ViewSource Media at the forefront of Winnipegger's minds.

    ViewSource is proud to associate our corporate name with the Duffy's Taxicab company, who have been leaders in the Winnipeg market through their adoption of an eco-conscious and fuel-conserving taxicab fleet. Having the ViewSource corporate advertising on a Toyota Prius Hybrid fits well with our commitment to environmental consciousness and conservation efforts.

    Taxicab wrap advertising is offered by local company Wrap-It Media in partnership with Duffy Taxicabs. The ViewSource vehicle wrap, designed by ViewSource, was configured in order to create front of mind awareness through the usage of our strong corporate colours - blue and orange - and to drive website traffic through the clear delivery of, and emphasis on, the ViewSource website address.

  • New Team Member

    ViewSource Media has recently expanded again, and is happy to welcome new junior designer Justin Currie to the office. As a recent graduate from Red River Collegiate's three year Graphic Design program, Justin brings a wide variety of skills and talents to the ViewSource team.

    Justin is a talented sketch and computer artist, and has experience working with Flash animation and 3D rendering. In his third year of the program, Justin was a finalist at the Signature Awards in the student design category - an exciting honour and a small indication of Justin's talents and capabilities.

    We look forward to seeing Justin develop and grow as a designer, and are excited to welcome him aboard.

  • Another Record-Breaking Year

    ViewSource Media Inc. would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to all of our clientele and suppliers, as we have had our 5th consecutive year of solid sales and revenue growth. We are excited to move forward into our 6th year of operations, and look forward to another year of expansion.

    Included this year is an expected addition of a new designer to the ViewSource team, increased sales efforts to break into new markets across Canada, and an expansion of the services and products that we currently offer.

  • Website Re-Development For Manitoba WorkinfoNET

    ViewSource Media is excited to announce that we have been awarded the re-development contract for the Manitoba WorkinfoNET family of websites.

    This project will include the development of custom front-end interfaces for 7 websites, as well as a robust content management system that will allow MBWIN staff to update all 7 sites from one administrative interface.

    Development of this project is expected to commence immediately, with a target launch date of late June, 2007 for the first components of the new site.

  • Vita Health Branding Package

    ViewSource Media has recently completed the successful re-development of the visual identity for Vita Health Food Store and Fresh Market. Vita Health is a Winnipeg-based retailer of health products and food items, with 8 locations currently in Manitoba. Vita Healt is currently in the process of expanding, through the addition of a new store, and also re-defining the focus of their business to include a Fresh Market component.

    The new visual identity has been developed in order to give Vita Health an injection of energy and excitement, alongside the changes happening within the company. The new identity emphasizes the natural and health-oriented aspects of Vita Health, and communicates these values clearly through both the colour palette of bright green, and the modern yet comfortable font selection.

    ViewSource is working with Vita Health in deploying the new visual identity across all marketing materials, and will be designing and producing collateral ranging from signage, to postcards and brochures, to business stationery in the near future.

    ViewSource will also be working with Vita Health on the re-design and re-development of the Vita Health website. Stay tuned for future announcements on this project.

  • Hu's On First Asian Bistro Website

    ViewSource Media is excited to announce the launch of the newly re-designed and re-developed Hu's On First Asian Bistro website. Hu's On First is an innovative and upbeat asian bistro, located on the 3rd floor of the CanWest ballpark - home of the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

    The new Hu's On First website captures the excitement and energy of the restaurant, and provides visitors with the ability to review the food menu, check out signature cocktails and the Hu's wine list, and find out a bit more about the Hu's On First philosophy.

    As well, the website includes an online survey that allows Hu's On First to gather customer feedback, and includes a customer reward function. Online reservations are also accommodated on the new website, through a direct link to the Open Table online reservation system.

  • CanSpell website For CanWest Global

    Hot on the heels of our most recent site launch announcement, ViewSource Media is excited and proud to announce the live launch of the re-developed CanSpell website. The new website consists of two distinct segments,each aimed to engage, inform, and entertain a specific audience.

    CanSpell is a national spelling bee competition, open to children across Canada. The CanSpell competition includes a series of local and regional spelling bees that culminate in April, when the National spelling bee is held to determine the Canadian champion. The CanSpell competition is designed to foster learning and engagement of academic success within children across Canada.

    The Teachers lounge, which can be found at www.canspell.ca offers teachers and parents a chance to gather information about the CanSpell competition, find tips of how to get their kids engaged and excited about the competition, and provides all the information necessary to get involved.

    The Spellers Lounge, which can be accessed from the main CanSpell websiteor can be entered directly at www.spellerslounge.ca offers kids of allages a chance to engage in some entertaining, and educational games and activities - all designed to get generate interest with the CanSpell experience.

  • IATSE Local 856 Website

    ViewSource Media is excited to announce the launch of the newly re-developed IATSE Local 856 website. Aimed primarily towards providing a source of information and resources to the local film production community in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the new IATSE website combines a fun and user-friendly interface with a robust offering of resources.

    In order to communicate the fun and exciting nature of the film business, the website interface has been developed to communicate these features to the public at large, and the film community in Winnipeg, and across North America. The site structure is built to maximize intuitive navigation and user-friendliness, in order to ensure ease of access to resources, information, and opportunities poseted on the site.

    Due to the dynamic nature of content on the site, a complete content management system has been developed and implemented, allowing IATSE staff members to add or delete content, post opportunities and information on the site, and ensure that website content is fresh, relevant, and completely up to speed.

Josh brings a wealth of experience in both design and pre-press, gained over the 15 years he has spent in the industry. Josh has designed for a diverse and distinguished list of clientele, including CanWest Global, ConAgra Grain, Sun Life Financial, Ontario Natural Gas and TransCanada PipeLines.

    As a member of ViewSource, Josh will bring his eye for detail and creative instincts to a wide variety of design and marketing projects, and will be an integral part of the continued growth and expansion of the company.

  • ViewSource Embraces Eco-Friendly Initiatives

    In an effort to address the issue of social responsiblity, and reduce the environmental footprint created by our operations, ViewSource Media has recently embarked upon an effort to establish ourselves as a Carbon-Neutral and environmentally-friendly design studio.

    The first step of this process has recently been completed, as ViewSource Media has shifted to a paper-less invoicing system, reducing paper usage and unnecessary waste.

    This is only the first step in an ongoing process, as ViewSource Media has established the goal of achieving carbon-neutral status within the upcoming year. Stay tuned for future announcements as we progress towards our end goal!

  • 24 Hour Relay for Kids and Drop Zone Sponsored By ViewSource

    ViewSource Media is proud to sponsor two upcoming Easter Seals/Society For Manitobans with Disabilities (SMD) fundraising events: The 24 Hour Relay for Kids and The Drop Zone. Both events are held to raise awareness and funding for programs and services for children with physical disabilities.

    The 24 Hour Relay for Kids takes place on June 24th/25th at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Last year, the Relay raised over $115,000 for physically disabled children in Manitoba!     The Drop Zone is an exciting new fundraising event, offering the opportunity for individuals to rappel down the side of the Royal Bank Building at 220 Portage Avenue! All money raised stays in Manitoba, and is used to fund programs and services for children with physical disabilities.

Rod Bruinooge is a resident of south Winnipeg and is an active member of the civic community. This website will be a hybrid between flash and html development.     ViewSource Media finishes the new design and printing of the Toba Sportswear catalogue. Toba Sportswear is a Winnipeg based company specializing in quality sportswear products. VSM was responsible for incorporating various product lines throughout the product catalogue focusing on a unique, easy to use and graphically appealing layout. ViewSource Media was also responsible for the production of the catalogues, which were printed in 4 colour.
